Baseline
A snapshot of the state of a project product and its constituent sub-products at a point in time. Plans are 'base lined' when they have been formally agreed and accepted and changes to baselines should be measured and managed accordingly. Base lined products such as software systems should be permanently recorded so that it can be recalled at any future time.
